EricD850 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Hey, On Windows 11 (Professional 24H2), it's very easy to have crash of Affinity photo : create a category in the assets panel and just add a "Unsharp mask live filter" layer (that you've created with an image : nevermind the image) : select the live filter layer and in the asset panel choose the "add from selection". And don't try to re-open the assets category when you relaunch the application : crash again. With others live filters, you just obtain a transparent icon (!) on the assets panel (you see the name only by hovering with the mouse). TAF. Eric. Quote
Hangman Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Hi @EricD850 and welcome to the forums, I'm seeing the crash on Windows 10 though it's not unique to the 2.6.2.3213 Beta, I'm seeing the same issue in 2.5.7 with numerous Live Filters... I tested this on Mac as well and the Live Filters are added to the Assets pane as a red square rather than a transparent icon. It will equally crash on Mac but seems to depend on the Live Filter in question. For the filters that don't cause a crash, the filter isn't actually applied to the image when added via the Assets panel, the filter is added to the Layers panel but appears to not affect the image itself... I'm unsure what the expected behaviour is or whether Live Filters are designed to work as Assets but hopefully, someone from Serif can confirm one way or the other...
