Hi,

I was working on creating some jewellery for a piece of artwork I was working on, then Affinity Photo v2.6 seemed to hang for a while. When it came back, the layers I was working on had all turned black; the mask on the layer called 'Side Bits' had become embossed curiously. The black layers seem to be larger than the document itself.

A few other layers did not get turned black. I have no idea why that is...

Any ideas on this?

I attach the file for you to look at. Screengrab below.

Thanks.

Hi @DelN,

Looks like a corrupted set of pixel layers contained within the top level group, interacting with these layers causes a significant app memory spikes which can be indicative of a corrupt layer, would be advisable to delete this group or revert to a backup if possible.

Since the document contains no history it's difficult for us to track what happened originally or replicate this, at a guess perhaps the app ran out of system memory at the time of the hang/corruption, but I can't say this with any certainty. If you're able to replicate this let us know any actions required.

Thanks, Nathan.

I just reproduced (or as near as I could remember) what I had done. I wasn't sure what information you guys need to look into it.

Thanks again...
