socapex Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I've read a thread about a full animation system which is way out-of-scope. But, a simple layer to frame animated gif export would be handy and quite welcomed. Also completely non-intrusive. Thank you gardenofred, AffinityAppMan, enginpost and 2 others 5 Quote
enginpost Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 I completely agree. I don't think we need anything too crazy complicated. It would be nice to have keyframe animation on a layer or group level to keyframe properties like: X&Y position of layer (including under masks) alpha % visibility (on/off) It would let me create animations of UI elements to simulate UX, for example. It would also let me do a lot of fun simple character animation loops. Seconto, towelhead and CHECHENO 3 Quote

I only just purchased Affinity Photo yesterday and was very disappointed to find no support for basic animated GIF editing/creation. CHECHENO and towelhead 2 Quote
gardenofred Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Totally agree! It would be really useful to be able to animate and export simple gifs inside the software.
