This i how stroke look after expand ito to curve. Is there really need create so many nodes? I dont think so.

So

1. expand stroke could work batterer.

2. some tool for curve simplicity would be also great.

p.s. i know there are many other much more important lacks, that i dont have so many hope for such small improvement…

With the Node Tool active does the Smooth Curve icon in the context tool bar help?

The algorithms in Affinity have taken a beating many times here, I can see, and that’s because you’re right.

Our solution is that curves that need to be spot-on for logos and graphics for corporate use - we simply create them in other programs or optimize them there. Alternatively, we optimize them ourselves; we’ve even had internal competitions to draw an object with as few curves as possible, which was a great learning experience and training.

But it’s a shame for everyone - other programs have algorithms that work unbelievably well. If Serif’s humans can’t figure out how to improve this, I seriously think AI could handle it superbly. Well, know.
