Both Designer and Photo have a “File → New from Clipboard” menu item, but Publisher does not, probably because it’s a page-based application.

If you are using Photo and you can’t see what I show in my attached image then you might be using a Persona which doesn’t support that function.

If so, just switch back to the Photo Persona.

Fortunately, Publisher also offers this option, but only in its AD/APh personas. A new document is created as a page (not artboard or canvas) and the persona that created it automatically switches back to the Publisher persona. Therefore there is actually no reason not to have this menu option in the Publisher persona, too.

A common mistake of PS users who are used to nesting this command in the New form 🙂
