MadLad Designs Posted February 5 Posted February 5 How do you open a new document the size of the image held in the clipboard? Photoshop had 'New from Clipboard' but I can't find it in Affinity Photo 2. Quote
GarryP Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Both Designer and Photo have a “File → New from Clipboard” menu item, but Publisher does not, probably because it’s a page-based application. If you are using Photo and you can’t see what I show in my attached image then you might be using a Persona which doesn’t support that function. If so, just switch back to the Photo Persona. Fortunately, Publisher also offers this option, but only in its AD/APh personas. A new document is created as a page (not artboard or canvas) and the persona that created it automatically switches back to the Publisher persona. Therefore there is actually no reason not to have this menu option in the Publisher persona, too. GarryP 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

A common mistake of PS users who are used to nesting this command in the New form 🙂 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.5.7.2948 (Retail) Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100.2605.
