Warp Text

Hi,
I can’t find the text warp tool icon any help is greatly appreciated.  I am using V2 on an iPad air, if that helps.

Do you mean text warp (changing the geometrical shape of a text layer) or text wrap (making text go around another layer)?

Note: It’s better to tell us which Affinity application you are using as the different applications have different functionalities.

Pruus no three dots.
GarryP i mean text warp, and sorry i didn’t mean to post to a bug chat, as i don’t think it is a but i just can’t find the icon or the three dots pPruus mentioned. I am using Affinity Designer v2. Again sorry for my error in posting.

Thanks for confirming that. It’s easy to mistype that word and it can lead to a lot of confusion if a mistake isn’t caught early.

Designer doesn’t have the Text Wrapping functionality of Publisher, which pruus showed earlier, so that’s probably why you can’t see it.

It sounds like you need the Warp Group functionality of Designer but I don’t know where that is on iPad or how it works on that platform. Someone else will be able to tell you.

It really would have been better if the term ‘distort’ had been adopted across the industry, but we are where we are!

Although it would be more fun to hear upper management types talking about it in their public presentations to great fanfare: “Ladies and gentlemen, honoured guests, I present our new wibbly wobbly text function”.
