coolasmoo Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I am running windows pro on a dell xps 8960 desktop computer. with 64gb ram. and the nvidia geforce rtx graphics card. all my files run from nvme ssd's. I am also using affinity photo beta. this is the application i am at the moment having issues with. I have so far not checked my publisher beta or designer beta. i am using beta because last year there was a bug preventing use of standard applications and advice given was to install beta. i had an update two days ago and now up to date software wise.. there are 3 issues.. since the update it has become slow as in i tap on any item from any menu and it takes a second or two to appear. 2nd issue is when resizing pixel art document x 3 using xbr.. it takes forever and in one case 3 hours work was lost as it crashed and closed and no file saved. third issue is that the opacity slider on the right hand side panel has no effect on any image i try to use it on.. any layer i select or image to reduce the opacity... nothing happens.. this can be on new art files as well as existing as i have tried it with previous projects since discovering the issue. on previous selection in a photo that i have reduced the opacity on do not alter when using the opacity slider and thus on new projects too.. absolutely frustrating because now i am having to take much longer using eraser with reduced opacity to try to achieve the same affect. please advise if this is a global issue or just my application. Please upload a full-size screenshot with the layers panel visible and the opacity slider set to 10% Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. This is the expected behaviour when adjusting the Opacity slider in the Colour Panel, i.e., that slider is for adjusting the opacity of a solid colour, e.g., of a fill or stroke... To adjust the opacity of an image you need to use the Layer opacity slider in the Layers panel...
