CaroleA Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I did purchase the bundle when there was a super deal a few months ago. I know that the 6-month trial is no longer available, but there is no clear indication on the site, how long it is for. I have a workshop planned for January 13th (lasting 14 days) and I want to introduce Affinity to some scrapbookers. For that reason, I am hoping they would download the trial, go through the workshop, and choose to buy it at the end. However, someone downloaded the trial today, and says it is only for 7 days. Where is the information about the trial? Is it really only 7 days? Is there any way to "extend" it for anyone who might have downloaded it "too early" for the workshop? I want to promote the program, but I don't have all the information. Quote
Brian_J Posted January 1 Posted January 1 The length of the free trial is 7 days. Trial length info is provided on the FAQ page — see Can I take out a free trial of Version 2 apps. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/affinity-2-faq/ Quote Windows 10 22H2, 32GB RAM | Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 (MSI/EXE)
CaroleA Posted January 1 Author Posted January 1 Oh Darn. That won't be enough for the participants to get an idea of how to use it before deciding. That is very short for a trial Quote
PaulEC Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Well, I thought six months was a bit over the top, but dropping right back to only seven days makes it pretty useless for anyone who actually has real work to do at the same time as trialling new software! hokic 1 Quote Acer XC-895 : Windows 11 Home : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz : 32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 – Affinity Publisher 2 : Affinity Photo 2 : Affinity Designer 2 : (latest release versions) – Also all apps on 12.9" (Second Generation) iPad Pro, OS Version 17.7.5 Old Lenovo laptop : Windows 10 - v1 and latest beta versions of all Affinity apps – Ancient Toshiba laptop: Vista - PagePlus X9, DrawPlus X8, PhotoPlus X8 etc
CaroleA Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 Yeah, I would think that 30 days would be kind of standard in the software businesses, and enough to give more than a glimpse into its features. Quote
PaulEC Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I would think that 30 days would be more realistic than 7, especially if you want to trial all three apps to see how they work together.
