StewartTower Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Good day: I have switched from a Mac to a PC. After perusing the forums it appears that an Affinity license cannot be transferred. I purchased an Affinity Universal license in 2023 and a number of add-ons and fonts since. Do I have any options to transfer without repurchasing? Thank you. Quote
PaulEC Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 The licence cannot be transferred from one person to another, but, if you have the Universal Licence, you can install the Affinity software on any/all computers that you "control". You can use the Universal Licence which you already have on both Windows and Mac, just download the appropriate installers from your account. (FWIW: the Universal Licence also includes the iPad versions.) You will also have access to any Affinity add-ons and fonts that you have purchased from your account page. NB: You don't actually "transfer" the software, you just do a normal install on the new machine, but, if you are selling the old computer, or passing it on to someone else, you should delete the software from it first. StewartTower Posted December 28, 2024 Author Posted December 28, 2024 Perfect! Thank you for the clarity. All systems are go. Quote
Gianni Savelli Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I intend to purchase an Affinity Publisher license. I want to ensure I can install the software on both Mac Computers I usually work with (a Mini Mac and a Mac Book Air) with the same license. Thanks Quote
StewartTower Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 My understanding is that you can install on more than one computer. The caveat, if you're only purchasing one piece of the suite, is that all installations have to be on the same OS (all Mac or all PC). Purchasing a universal license will allow you to install on more than one OS. In may case, I had purchased the universal version which allowed me to transfer from Mac to PC. Quote
