Gianni Becattini Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 I am an absolute sustainer of the Affinity suite, but there is something that drives me crazy. How could someone decide to reduce the contrast in the layer name panels? I tried all settings dark or light but these labels remain almost invisible. Is there any possible tweaking? Now, for most layers if you don't name them, they appear dim but once you name them, they appear a lot brighter I guess it was done so you can easily find those layers you deemed important enough to name them Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Gianni Becattini Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 I do not completely agree with this choice. I use very much the layer descriptions; when you become used to them they can tell much at a glance: For example, they report the first words of a text, or simply "Frame text" indicates that you forgot to remove an empty box. Even curves, together with the icon, can help you, and when you write something... it could be readable! I had often a similar problem in my company with the younger software developers who have good eyes. Often the readability of the user interface is in proportion to the age of the developer, young = small & light, less young=large & contrasted...😀 Quote More than 30 Macs, from 1984 Mac 512K Plus to 2020 iMac 27" i9
