augustya Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Hi Guys, I used a clone brush tool to modify someone's hairline which I want to show someone, though it worked what is this Hazy thing going on in the areas where i have used the clone brush Tool ? I kept the brush settings to 100% Opacity, 10%-Flow, 0%-Hardness. is it something with the brush settings that I need to use specific percentage ? Quote
R C-R Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 What does the area you are cloning from look like? How many layers does the file have & what are the source settings you are using? smadell Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 10% Flow and 0% Hardness is going to give you a super-soft edge. I suspect that’s what you’re seeing. I would try (at least) bumping the Flow to 100%. That will still give you a feathered edge (because the Hardness is set to 0) but might give you better definition of other areas. The Area is the person's hair itself, which is pretty sharp in the Original image, The files only have layers like adjustments brightness and curves (If that is what you are asking) and the source setting well it a RAW Image. But a lower hardness setting gives you a softer edge. That’s nice when the edge abuts a non-uniform surface, like skin. The lower flow setting, in this case, will only serve to clone the hair more transparently (building up as you go) which I suspect is what’s giving you that “hazy” appearance.
