Can anyone explain why the temperature and hue values that I have set in the camera are not the same as the ones that appear in Affinity Photo once I open the RAW image for editing? I also notice that the sharpness and definition is lower in the RAW image opened with Affinity than the RAW image itself seen in preview or any other editing program. Thank you very much.

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

Generally Affinity Photo shows you the raw sensor data, and generally those settings in the camera apply only to JPG images created by the camera. They may be recorded in RAW image files produced by the camera, and may be used by some RAW image editors, but much of that kind of data that cameras can record (and some editors can use) is ignored by Photo. (I do not know for sure if this applies to those settings for your camera, so it might help to know (a) exactly what camera you're using and (b) what format of file you are using.)

Some other image editors automatically apply some default sharpening to images. Affinity Photo does not. Without having a sample image, and knowing what those other editing programs are, it will be difficult to say more.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
On my CANON R8 camera I have some set values for temperature (3800K) and hue (+25), and I take pictures in RAW and JPEG.
But, when I edit them in Affinity, when I open the RAW file, the parameters automatically change to 4000K and +32. When normally I use the same parameters that are set in the camera.
Also, the level of definition is lower, as if a bit of blur is applied to it.
I have checked opening the RAW file in other photo editing programs and the values are the same as in the camera, and also the sharpness is much better.
I don't understand why.

Thx!

Sorry, but I can't say any more than I already have. Other editors do things differently than Affinity Photo does, especially with automatically applying sharpening.
