CaroleA Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 When I have several images to close and don't want/need to save any of them, is there a shortcut (or a modifier) to bypass the dialog window? Quote
carl123 Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 No, but... File > Close all Will give just one dialog window with a box you can tick once and it will apply to all currently open documents Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. GarryP Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 You can use menu “File → Close All” and then check the “Apply to All” control and then press the “No” button, but that’s about it as far as I know (apart from manually 'killing'/ending the application process, which I wouldn’t recommend). CaroleA Posted December 10, 2024 Author Posted December 10, 2024 I see. It might work but I really wished it could be individual for each, so if I need to close 9 out of 10 images without saving, but I want to keep the 10th to work, that seems to not save time. I added it as a suggestion here if you want to add to it. Quote
MikeTO Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Note that you can press Cmd+D on macOS to dismiss the dialog without saving the file. Esc is the shortcut for the Cancel button - it closes the dialog and leaves the document open. Cmd+D is the shortcut for the Don't Save button and varies by language. The "N" key will dismiss the dialog and the document without saving the file, on Windows Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. It is "interesting" that the shortcut would be different between Mac and Windows! But I am glad there is one. Quote
