Expected behaviour:
Shift+Enter in a text field results in a line break, like in every other text editing software, including the publisher desktop version or this forum.

Actual behaviour:
No matter which combination of shift, option, cmd, enter I press, it always adds a new paragraph.

This is really annoying and disruptive. The very time consuming work around is, to manually adjust each paragraph break.
I‘m not sure if this is a bug or poor ui-design and I just can‘t find the right setting. I can‘t figure out how to solve this.

I‘m thankful for any advice!

  1. You can long-press on the screen and from the menu that appears choose Insert Special Character, then choose a Line Break from the next menu.
  2. From the Document menu, you can use Insert > Breaks > Line Break.

I don't think there's any other way to do it at this point. I agree it's irritating. I don't think it's logged as a bug yet, but I may have missed something. Or it may be viewed as By Design. Someone from Serif will need to comment on that.
