[Windows 10] Designer 2.5.6. DXF export problem

1. What Application are you using? [Designer]
2. Are you using the latest release version?
   (2.5.6)
3. Can you reproduce it?
   (Yes)
4. Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem? (No. every time)
5. attached screenshot images and affinity designer file.

 

*when I contour letter (unbaked one) then export to dxf file format. there are unclosed path. (workaround, it has to bake appearance, then all letters are closed. but If you can fix this, it will save alots of time for me.)

Hi @EBC567 and welcome to the forums,

If I reopen the unbaked exported DXF file in Affinity Designer, I don't see any open paths. Could the issue be with the software interpreting the DXF?

Thank you for your reply. 

Could you share the export option of yours? I still have same problem so far. and It seems my lines are cut off where intersect with boundary box.

but after' bake', there are no cut off lines.

It seems bounding box problem.

when I export, Area : selection only. around selected object's bounding box is too tight.

so it cut my lines off.( it happen where the lines are touching the bounding box).

Even If export whole document, the object is located outside of document are cut off.

 

is there way modify bounding box when I export 'selection only'?

** I use this for prep laser cut. it is very crucial matter..

I've logged this issue with the developers for further investigation.

Not as far as i'm aware, as it directly tied to the scale of the object. The 'Bake appearance' workaround does appear to prevent this on your document, however.
