Hello, how are you?

I've been having this problem for a while now, but I ended up doing it in another software so as not to delay it, and I ended up ignoring this complaint.

In V1, when I render images (any format to any format), black or white fragments appear in the rendered image. I've done it from HEIC to PNG, HEIC to JPG, PNG to JPG, and JPG to PNG, and in all cases rendered in V1, fragments always appear. However, I'm in the test version of V2, and I render the same image and format and the fragments don't appear, it renders perfectly. I used to have no problems in V1, but from last year to this year, this error started to appear.

I need to finish a job, as soon as I do, I'll reinstall the software and see if it's fixed, otherwise, I'll keep the topic open.

Hi @mogacci and welcome to the forums,

This is normally an issue relating to Hardware Acceleration...

If you close your file go to the Affinity Photo Settings uncheck Hardware Acceleration under the Performance section and reboot the app.

Once rebooted, open your file and re-export it and you should find it exports without the artefacts...

Let us know if this is the case...

You may have Hardware Acceleration enabled on v1 but not v2 which is why you see the difference...

This OpenCL export bug was fixed in V2, and as far as I'm aware, we've not had any reports of this happening since in the V2 apps so you should be able to keep Hardware Acceleration/OpenCL enabled while working in V2.

As Hangman mentioned disabling Hardware Acceleration in V1, restarting and re-exporting your original files out should resolve the issue. 👍
