Aniket Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 I have been using 2.3.0 for some time and the direct import of HEIC (Iphone clicked photos) was working fine, but after upgrading to 2.5.5 it's not supported anymore. Can this be looked upon? Quote
Aniket Posted October 16, 2024 Author Posted October 16, 2024 Something seems to be changed in IOS 18 as I can still paste old images before I updated my phone, but not from iphone ios 18 Quote
Staff NathanC Posted October 16, 2024 Staff Posted October 16, 2024 Welcome to the forums @Aniket, This is a known issue with HEIC files shot on devices running iOS 18 getting flagged as unsupported, I've bumped the existing issue with your report. Quote
Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted January 27 Staff Posted January 27 The issue "HEIC files made with iOS 18 are unsupported" (REF: AF-4369) has been fixed by the developers in the latest beta build (2.6.0.3078). Some of my heic pictures don't open in Affinity 2.5.7 and yet others do. I noticed while creating this post that the 2 files are saved differently. One seems to be using quicktime/mov and the other video/mp4 I guess that's the answer but now the question is why is there two types of saved heic's?
