HEIC not supported in 2.5.5

I have been using 2.3.0 for some time and the direct import of HEIC (Iphone clicked photos) was working fine, but after upgrading to 2.5.5 it's not supported anymore. Can this be looked upon?

Something seems to be changed in IOS 18 as I can still paste old images before I updated my phone, but not from iphone ios 18

This is a known issue with HEIC files shot on devices running iOS 18 getting flagged as unsupported, I've bumped the existing issue with your report.

The issue "HEIC files made with iOS 18 are unsupported" (REF: AF-4369) has been fixed by the developers in the latest beta build (2.6.0.3078). The fix is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us.

Some of my heic pictures don't open in Affinity 2.5.7 and yet others do.

I noticed while creating this post that the 2 files are saved differently.

One seems to be using quicktime/mov and the other video/mp4

I guess that's the answer but now the question is why is there two types of saved heic's?

All taken on the same iPhone 8 with iOS version 16.7.10

Do they all open in 2.6.0.3078? If not, that is something that still needs to be fixed.
