Imported png weird transperency issue

Hi,

I'm trying to import a png file in affinity photo on windows but it does not render correctly. It looks semi transparent. I checked the colorimetric profile, opacity but it seems to be an import problem. Any idea of what could cause that ? I attached all my files.

The document you attached only contains a single Pixel layer and that layer looks to be, when I open the document in Photo, completely transparent.

Was that the document which you meant to attach?

When I look in the Resource Manager I can see that the image has an ICC Profile that I've never seen before: P3 D65 Linear

That might be the cause of the problem but how you might fix it will have to be for someone else to give advice on.

Okay, I guess this might cause troubles... P3 D65 Linear is the base color profile used by procreate. I tried to change it but it keeps exporting with this one.

Someone who knows more about colour profiles than me should be able to help you more.

(What I found might not be the actual problem but I think it’s a pretty good bet that it’s got something to do with it, being a different colour profile than that of the document.)

This is a bug currently logged with the developers, the P3 D65 linear profile from Procreate's PNG export incorrectly opens in Photo 2 as a 32 bit profile instead of 8 bit causing all the colours to appear washed out, I've bumped the existing issue with your report.

Same issue here. Thanks for flagging this to the developers. I appreciate everyone's hard work to fix it.

Steps to reproduce:

• Export a design from Procreate as PNG
• Import into Affinity Photo
• PNG image appears washed out

Note to others, you can export your files from procreate as PSD and then import into Affinity Photo without issue. It's a hassle, but a temporary workaround while the devs work on it.

I am having this issue PNG was an export from Procreate. This seems like a major bug.
