This must be simple but as a relative newbie I cant work this out.

I have an image layer and text layer. I want to move the image so that it is behind the text and the text is viewable over the image.

Any help please?

If those are really two separate layers, then dragging the image layer underneath the text layer using the Layers panel will at least put the text over the image. But depending on the exact layer contents that may not accomplsih what you want. It would help to have a screenshot of the complete application window, and including the Layers panel.

@Scouser It would have been better if you had asked this in the appropriate “Questions” section of the forums rather than in the “Resources” section of the forums as the “Resources” section is for people sharing resources for others to use rather than asking questions.

Posting questions in the “Questions” section is often likely to get you an answer more quickly.

A moderator might move this thread for you so there’s no need to duplicate this elsewhere.

No harm has been done, it's just better for all users if things are in the right place.

When you press the “Start new topic” button on the Home Page you can select the section you want to create the thread in.

Unfortunately, not all of the options are immediately available and you may need to open an ‘area header’ to see the sections in that area. (Serif are aware that this ‘trips up’ a lot of new forum members but they might not be able to change the forum software enough to make this better.)

See attached image where the “Affinity Support & Questions” area needs be opened by pressing the little arrow to reveal the sections.

When you press the “Start new topic” button anywhere else you can only create a new thread in the section you are in at the time, which also ‘trips up’ quite a few people.

Alternatively, you can navigate from the Home page to the forum section you want to post in, and if you start from there the default will create it in that forum.

Then all you need to know is where to navigate to, so you post questions in Questions, and Bugs in the appropriate Bugs forum, (and not to try to post Questions in Frequently Asked Questions :) ), and what goes into Resources and Tutorials (hint: not Questions or Bug reports).
