vikkikint
Hello, I am working on a book and bring bitmaps from a special knitting design programme into Affinity Designer. This software will only export as bmp. Working on ver 1 for my last book there was no problem opening the bmp files in either Designer or Photo. Ver 2 will not open the bitmaps, I just get a blank, transparent square on a white background. I have had to resort to screen shotting the patterns from the knitting software which is not ideal. I am not a whizz at Affinity but have used Serif Drawplus and then Adobe Illustrator prior to this and managed to get the results I need. It is very frustrating not to be able to open bmps in Designer and Photo ver 2. Has anyone else come across this? Might it be a setting I have nudged by mistake? I have added a screenshot of the same bmp as it appears when opened in Designer ver 1 and then in Designer ver 2. I have also added screenshots of my main settings/preferences and doc setup settings for colour on Affinity Designer vers 1 and 2 are here - I thought it might be to do with something there but I can't see any difference myself. I do hope someone can help me.
