maxb19
when I try to copy a group of objects from a project where 300 dpi is set to a project or a file for preparation for printing with 160dpi or 200 dpi (no matter if it is affinity designer or affinity photo) the objects shift in scale - to fix this you need to remember to group the objects - this has never happened before, this problem sometimes drives me crazy. Appeared after the next update, and the problem does not end after the last few updates
GarryP
You can hide your original thread about this (in the “Feedback” section: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/216994-affinity-2-trouble-with-copy-and-past/ ) by going to that thread, clicking on the ‘three dots’ button at the top right of the first post in the thread, and then choosing “Hide” from the menu – see attached image. Since you haven’t posted much in the forums you might not have the authority to do this yourself yet and, if so, you can request that a moderator does it for you by choosing “Report” from that same menu, and telling them why you want to hide the thread. Hiding the duplicate thread will stop people from discussing this in more than one place and having any solutions/advice distributed over multiple threads which makes it more difficult for people to find information about the same thing. Hangman
Hi @maxb19, This is a known bug logged under AF-3449 currently awaiting a fix... It will happen with Art Text when the document units are set to anything other than pixels... If using e.g., mm as the document unit the workaround is to convert the Art Text to a Frame Text, Layer > Convert to Text Frame which should then allow you to copy and paste correctly... Example.mp4 If you wish to maintain the Art Text switching the document unit to pixels will also work but bear in mind that both documents will need to use the same pixel dimensions for their respective DPI values... Example 2.mp4 Quote Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 Affinity Designer Beta 2.6.0.2861 | Affinity Photo Beta 2.6.0.2861 | Affinity Publisher Beta 2.6.0.2861 MacBook Pro M3 Max, 36 GB Unified Memory, macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, Magic Mouse HP ENVY x360, 8 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, Windows 10 Home, Logitech Mouse
norbinw
This happens to me too, when I make an A4 for print, then they want it posted on social media too. Sometimes when I copy paste text, it scales it up a lot. I know this happened to frame text, but now randomly I get it on art text too.
