Chris90
1. In Affinity Designer create a new slice in the export persona 2. Move the object around in the designer persona 3. switch to export persona. the slice for the export did not stick to the object and needs manual readjustment. GarryP
How did you create the Slice? The Slice should move with the layer if the Slice was created via the Layers Panel (via the “Create Slice” button) but it won’t move if you just drew the Slice on the Canvas. If you can record and share a full-screen video showing the problem, from creating the layer, then creating the slice from the layer, to moving the layer and the slice not moving, then we can see what’s happening. Chris90
Tested it - you are right. The bug comes when you manually readjust the size of the slice created. I do this, because I need some empty space around the objects. I would expect the slice to move relative to my object then. But instead, it looses connection completely. GarryP
As far as I know, this is expected behaviour and not a bug. Manually changing the size/position of a Slice will (temporarily) disconnect the Slice from the Layer, although there is a button on the Context Toolbar for “Revert to auto sized” which may be useful in some cases. Changes to existing functionalities and/or behaviours can be suggested in the “Feedback and Suggestions” section of the forums.
Chris90
I don't fully understand why this is expected behaviour, because I expected something else. Maybe one could make a checkbox in the slices panel that says "Stick to object's relative position" or something like that. By “expected behaviour” I mean that the software is (as far as I know) working as it was designed to work – it is working as Serif expect it to work. Given the practically infinite number of expectations that all users could collectively have it would be difficult for Serif to make it work according to any particular user’s expectations while making sure that it doesn’t work differently to all other user expectations. 13 hours ago, Chris90 said: Maybe one could make a checkbox in the slices panel that says "Stick to object's relative position" or something like that. Since this is a bug report for something that isn’t (as far as I know) a bug, I think it’s unlikely that Serif will consider any suggestions posted here. Suggestions for changes should be made in the "Feedback & Suggestions" section of the forums.

Just thinking out loud here so this may not be a workaround for you but if you require some empty space around the objects you may be able to add a transparent stroke to the objects which would allow you to reposition them without detaching from the slices... I appreciate this may not be appropriate for what you're doing but I thought I'd throw it out there just in case...
