Affinity-Inspiration Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 I’d really like to be able to change the default body font of new projects from Ariel to a Serif (Times New Roman) font. Without having to change it each time I begin a new project. In Publisher particularly, this is the default on opening a new document. iPad Mini 6. 256GB. My GoTo design platform. M2 Mac Mini. 24GB. GarryP Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 How is this different from the thread you started on Saturday?
Affinity-Inspiration Posted September 2, 2024 Author Posted September 2, 2024 Just now, GarryP said: How is this different from the thread you started on Saturday? Because i’m requesting the option to set the default in Settings/Preferences and not have it fixed at all. 2 minutes ago, GarryP said: How is this different from the thread you started on Saturday? iPad Mini 6. 256GB. Create a new document, go to the Text Styles Panel, change the Base style to the font you want to use (and/or do whatever other changes you want to do), then click on the ‘hamburger icon’ at the top-right of the panel and choose “Save Styles as Default”. The next time you create a new document you should be using the font you want. 7 minutes ago, Affinity-Inspiration said: i’m requesting the option to set the default in Settings/Preferences You didn’t mention that at all in your original post.

GarryP Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 I don’t know what I’m supposed to be looking at in the video, and the video is for the iPad which I don’t use, so I can’t tell you how to do what I suggested earlier but on an iPad rather than desktop, but someone else should be able to.
