Emilio R
Hi, I'm Emilio πΒ and this is my first thread. I'm learning how to use Affinity Designer and I can't get a drop shadow to overprint properly on a background (even when I check the option to overprint black when exporting it doesn't work). The text does have a good overprint, but not a shadow. I'm a graphic designer with over 20 years of experience working in print and I'm proficient in the competing suite. I've tried every possible means and combination on a sample file and I can't seem to get the black shadow (K 100%) to overprint properly on the background when exporting the document as PDF/X for print. I'm working on MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1 with the most up-to-date version of Affinity Designer version 1 (Affinity Designer 1.10.8). I'd like to know if this is a bug in the program, if there's an easy way to do it (like in Illustrator) and if it's a bug, if it's been fixed in version 2 of the application. I promise to update soon but at the moment I can't. I'm attaching some screenshots and a Google Drive link to download the file. Thanks in advance. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ellkAlGP_CzbmDAx-rTDnhpq-n6mKaDE/view?usp=sharing Edited August 19 by Emilio R
loukash
Hi Emilio, this bug still hasn't been fixed. We have explored a couple of very clunky workarounds here:Β Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
