Hi @Pawwwle,

I'm struggling to replicate what you show in the recording.  Mainly getting the drag to select to function in the same way you show.  Are you using a mouse to control Affinity or a stylus and tablet?

Hi @stokerg,

The issue appears to be Shift selecting the unlocked object when the locked item is initially selected...

• A normal shift-click to add the unlocked item to the selection fails but a longer shift-click succeeds...
• A shift-click drag to add the unlocked object to the selection also works...

If you use a slightly longer mouse click to Shift select the unlocked item (about twice as long as a normal click), as per the screen recording above, does this allow you to add the unlocked object to the selection?

No. It doesn't add even with a long click.

There appears to be differing behaviour between Windows and Mac and between Designer and Publisher (and the Designer Persona in Publisher) on Windows...

It is possible to add the unlocked object using Designer on Windows by clicking on it but it is very hit and miss as to when this happens, on Mac a simple long click will achieve this...

I use Affinity on a computer with Windows.
