walt.farrell
While investigating this question I've identified three problems with Find processing in Publisher 2.5.3 on iPadOS. When specifying a Format to be found, an extraneous "Initial Words & Characters" is always applied initially, and must be manually deleted from the Format specifications. When specifying a Format, and leaving the Find field empty, Find will not operate at all. This is inconsistent with the desktop applications, which allow Find to work with just a Format specified, and an empty Find field. To get around #2, I tried specifying a regular expression of (.*) and pressing the > button to find the occurrences. The Find bar gives a count of the number of occurrences (2 in my case) but the text is never highlighted in the Text Frame. As.a result, repeatedly pressing > doesn't advance to the next result, and Replace won't do anything. Sample file and video attached. Staff Lee D Posted August 19 Staff Share Posted August 19 @walt.farrell Thanks for the report. Even though they are using Find & Replace, I've logged this as separate reports with the developers.
