GarryP Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 If any (or all) of the TOC entries are earlier in the document than the TOC Text Frame then you will need to switch “Include entries before TOC” to ON in the Table of Contents Panel – see attached image. To see the Table of Contents Panel, use menu “Window → References → Table of Contents”. Quote
duke22 Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 Thanks, I figured it out, but when exporting as a PDF, there are no links from the Table of contents to the respective pages. That is the whole point for me for table of context can I implement that? Quote

It’s always best to leave the original post intact so that everyone can see the question: if you solve it yourself, post the solution in a reply. Replies are flagged up for anyone who is following the thread, whereas edits are not, so that’s another good reason to post the solution separately. walt.farrell and duke22 2 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)

duke22 Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 ok yes, I tried to delete the whole post but could not. Next will just leave it I managed to get the table of contents going (that was my initial issue), but when exporting as PDF, I have no links from TOC to the respective pages. I'm also wondering how I can export as a PDF with individual single pages, not a spread. Quote

Some have Hyperlinks enabled, some (those for Print) don't, but you can enable the option yourself. 3 minutes ago, duke22 said: I'm also wondering how I can export as a PDF with individual single pages, not a spread. duke22 Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 thanks yes will do in future, I just opened Publish again with the same document to see if the suggestions work, and all panels are gone, I can't find a way to restore it. ??? any idea?? Quote
duke22 Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 all my sidebars are gone; why would everything be empty just after closing and re-opening the application? All my right-hand side toolbars are gone don't know how to get them back. (sorry new to publisher) My TOC bar is gone, and all other sidebars with Master Pages/Pages etc. can't figure out how to get them back. Grrrr Quote
duke22 Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 The problem is there is no View/Studio as shown in the manual how do I get all my side panels back? Quote
GarryP Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 Look in the Window menu, like I showed in my earlier image. Quote

However, it’s pretty easy to accidentally press a keyboard shortcut combination before the application has finished shutting down. Quote

If you can share the document publicly then someone should be able to find the cause of the problem, and a solution to it, fairly quickly. duke22 1 Quote
duke22 Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 thank you single page export works and now magically the hyperlinks also work, again thanks a lot for the quick help great forum I must say Quote
GarryP Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 One final(?) thing. Have a look at the link you are using for the online Help as it looks like you are seeing the Help for Version 1 but (from what I can tell) you are using Version 2. The online Help for Publisher V2 is here: https://affinity.help/publisher2/English.lproj/index.html Notice the “2” at the end of “publisher” in the URL. Quote
