mkpatrick6709 Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 (edited) I am trying to create an effect in Affinity Designer 2.5.2 using a Photoshop walkthrough that says to adjust the outer shadow angle to 120 degrees. However, when I try to turn the degrees wheel it jumps to preset degrees. It goes from 90 to 135 degrees and doesn't let me go in between. I press the offset tool button but nothing happens. Am I unable to choose custom degrees? I'm trying to create this effect but couldn't find anything online for Affinity Designer. I am having a hard time because the 3D effect is not being produced when I try to apply what I believe are the equal or similar settings in Affinity. Angle customization is one effect I haven't been able to apply. I think it's why I haven't been able to create the affect I want. https://medialoot.com/blog/create-an-easy-stitched-leather-type-effect-in-photoshop/ Please tell me if I can customize angles and if so how? Also, if you see the walkthrough, is there a way to create the effect in Affinity Designer 2.52? Thanks Edited June 23, 2024 by mkpatrick6709 added more details Quote
Brian_J Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 Click on the degree value and you'll then be able to enter a number. Quote Windows 10 22H2, 32GB RAM | Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 (MSI/EXE)
carl123 Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 Alternatively, hold the "Shift" key down to stop it snaping to the preset values Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
