I just purchased Affinity Photo 2 from the  Affinity Store. I am using on Windows 11 V. 23H2 for x64. AMD Ryzen CPU and AMD GPU.  App version  2.5.2 (.2486). It will open but when I attempt to open a file It crashes. When I attempt to reopen the program after it crashes It requires me to login to my account before it opens then it just crashes again when I want to open a file. I un-ticked the Enable OpenCL in the performance panel but it still crashes when attempting to open a file.  Please advice. Thank you

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @mojubaxx. :)

Try clearing your user data: press the Ctrl key, keep it held down while launching the app, release it when the ‘Clear User Data’ dialog appears, and then press ‘Select All’ followed by ‘Clear’.

I tried clearing user data per your instruction but to no avail. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but it doesn't work.  The app is approved through my firewall. I tried to open different file formats and size but it still crashes. I closed all running apps to see if that was affecting it but nothing seems to work!

As above, please follow all the steps in the FAQ linked above, as there are multiple suggestions found there that don't seem to be covered in your latest post.

If the app continues to crash, please provide the latest 3 .DMP crash files, as outlined here -

Alongside this, please open Windows Run (Windows Key + R) then paste the following string and press OK:

%USERPROFILE%\.affinity\Photo\2.0\

In the window that opens, please select the log.txt file, then attach this to your reply here also.

Many thanks in advance!
