Doodlerpete Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Hi, I purchased Version 1 in 2020 and have not used it for a while. I have a new ipad and cannot download it. Only version two is available and the apo is saying that my licence is nit valid. Any ideas? Quote
Alfred Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Doodlerpete. On the Account page in the App Store, you’ll see the following list of links: Apps Subscriptions Purchase History Notifications Because version 1 is no longer available to buy, the ‘Purchase History’ option won’t show you the download link that you need, so you have to choose ‘Apps’ instead. You should find Affinity Designer listed there, but be prepared to do quite a bit of scrolling unless you’ve only rarely downloaded any apps (including free ones). There’s a discount for V1 owners who upgrade to the V2 Universal License. As far as I know, no discount for upgrading individual apps. If you download one of the iPad apps you get a free 7-day trial, and you can then make an in-app purchase of the single app or a collection of all three. The collection normally gives you three apps for the price of two, but the 50% deal means you would currently get three apps for the regular price of one. I’m confused, but hopefully the OP understands and has the info they need to make a decision. 🙂 Doodlerpete 1 Quote Windows 10 22H2 | Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 (MSI/EXE)

When I purchased the version 1 apps they didn’t have a trial mode, and when version 2 was released I availed myself of the no-brainier launch offer for the Universal License, so I don’t have firsthand experience of this particular purchase route in respect of the Affinity apps, but I have no reason to think it’s hugely different in this case. I was confused by memories of forum discussions about V2 launch pricing and the subsequent launch of the V2 upgrade offer. I was incorrectly thinking sale prices are for new customers only, and the V2 upgrade offer was the only discount current customers could receive. Upon closer inspection of the V2 upgrade offer page, I see pricing, including the current sale, is clearly displayed... I understand now. 💡🙂 Alfred 1 Quote Windows 10 22H2 | Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 (MSI/EXE)
