Font Manager Suitcase Fusion

Recommended Posts

I use Suitcase Fusion 6 (7 is out now) which will automatically activates fonts when an Adobe product opens a file that uses an unactivated font. Are you planning any compatibility? I have noticed that when I open a font with Fusion that AD updates the font menu without restarting it.

kanihoncho,

I wish I could offer you a solution but unfortunately I don't know the answer. It does make me wonder if this is something that Affinity can add? It sounds like something that you would have to request to the makers of Suitcase Fusion. The makers of Suitcase also offer support for Quark Xpress, so they are not limited to just Adobe products (which is encouraging). Maybe they would consider offering support for Affinity apps as well?

I posted that question and the answer from Extensis here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/20334-compatibility-with-suitcase-fusion/

What I was told from the Extensis rep is that if Extensis gets enough requests from users of AD, they'll consider adding an auto activation system for AD. It doesn't seem that the Affinity Devs won't have to do much if anything at all.
