Do you mean you opened the *.afdesign file in Affinity Publisher and exported it (or tried to export it) to PDF, but the app crashed? 10 hours ago, nivramniktals said: What does this mean? I’ve no idea, hence my questions above. By the way, you might want to correct “Bhubtani” to “Bhuptani”. Edited to add: I’ve just noticed that I overlooked the words “quite well” at the end of your post. I think you were trying to say “a PDF is exported quite well”, but your links to the attached file got in the way. Are you saying that PDF export crashes Designer but works quite well in Publisher? I am using an iMac. The files (I created a test file with no fonts) to test Designer 2, Photo 2, and Publisher 2. The files exported as press-ready PDFs in Publisher 2, but crashed Designer 2 and Photo 2. They crashed before the PDF set-up box appeared, so I have no idea whether the files were involved or my copies of the applications were buggy. I wish I knew if I could replace the application files. After crashing, my computer thinks the document is still open, even though nothing shows on Force Quit. It's interesting that you can open my sign file (and you were very correct about the spelling of "Bhuptani") on your iPad. This means my file is probably OK. Could you also generate a PDF? My problem seems to be "Exporting." I haven't had any issues, yet, in creating content. As of now, I have to save everything in Publisher if I want it exported. By the way, many thanks for your insights. My description is tricky to understand… and I wrote it.

I didn’t get a crash just now when I tried a PDF export (press ready and a couple of other variants) from Designer 2. nivramniktals
I am wondering if my copies of Designer and Photo have corrupted export related elements. I have had no issues, yet, with creating documents. Just exporting. Maybe I have to reinstall the two applications. I want to make sure I know how, though. Is there an approved way to do this? That sounds rather unlikely, but it is odd that export from Publisher completed without a hitch. Staff stokerg Posted May 28 Staff Share Posted May 28 Hi @nivramniktals, Your afdesign file isn't crashing my Designer when i export using the preset PDF For Print and i do have the font installed. Can you check and see if you have a crash report you can attach? To find the report do the following: Open the Console app from Applications > Utilities. In the left hand panel click Crash Reports - you will see a list of Crash Reports. Find the relevant crash report - it should display the app's name in the Process Name column. Right click and select Reveal in Finder and then attach the report here.
