We can confirm that this issue has been fixed in our v2.5.2 update. More information about this update can be found here.

The latest version, v2.5.2, can be downloaded from the Affinity Store here or by updating via the relevant app store.

We're aware of a few issues affecting our Windows apps that causes crashing to desktop on launch.

If you're using the Microsoft Store build of Affinity v2.5, please make sure you've updated to 2.5.1 - this update fixed an issue relating to cross app licence activation and the apps(s) crashing on launch.

If you're using the Affinity Store build of Affinity v2.5 (or if you've updated the Microsoft Store to 2.5.1 and you're still having this issue), it's likely you're running into another issue relating to Loading Fonts.

Our developers have fixed this issue in the latest beta build, 2.5.2 (2478). It will be made available to retail users soon but you can join the beta here: https://affinity.serif.com/affinity-beta-program/
