Patrick Cray Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Affinity Photo 2.5.0.2463 (Beta): PC running Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2, i7-10700F, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super with latest studio drivers. When I send a file to the DxO Nik Collection 7, Silver Efex plugin, Affinity Photo Affinity Photo 2.5.0.2463 (Beta) hangs, becomes unresponsive and has to be closed using Task Manager. The Nik 7 Silver Efex plugin however remains responsive. Quote
Staff EmT Posted May 21, 2024 Staff Posted May 21, 2024 Hi @Patrick Cray Once you release the image from the plugin via Apply or Cancel, does Photo then become responsive again? Quote List of V2 FAQ's | Affinity Online Help | Affinity Video Tutorials | Beta Software Forums | Bug Reporting Guidance
Patrick Cray Posted May 21, 2024 Author Posted May 21, 2024 Hi EmT, Sorry, I closed an unresponsive Affinity Photo 2 with Task Manager, leaving the DxO Nik 7 Silver Efex plugin open. I have tried to replicate the issue this evening to answer your query, but everything is working as expected. Quote
Matt Whitby Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 I didn't think Efex Pro worked with Affinity. I tried for a day to get to work and gave up. Quote
Patrick Cray Posted June 9, 2024 Author Posted June 9, 2024 The only Nik plug-in that does not work with Affinity is Nik Perspective. The other Nik Collection plug-ins work with RGB images but not raw files. If you are referring to either Nik Collection 6 & Nik Collection 7, they should automatically install on Affinity Photo 2.
