bobdobbs Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 In the pixel persona I've selected a brush. I want to apply brush strokes to a layer in a colour of my choice. In the color tab I can see a colour wheel. If I put the mouse selector on the clear point on the wheel, I can drag that selector through the circle. So I can select a hue. When I release the mouse button, the triangle snaps back into it's previous position, but the hue I've selected remains selected. However, I can't choose how much white I want in the colour. Once the triangle has snapped back into it's previous position, I have no options for selecting the shade of the hue that I've selected. In other applications that I'm used to, I can hold down the mouse and drag the pointer to a position within the triangle. I can do this in affinity design, but there's no point: the triangle has snapped to a colour that I'm not interested in selecting. So I can select any shade of that colour. But I can't select any shade of the colour that I want to use. This dynamic seems to make the triangle's existence pointless. Is there 'designer' way to select a colour and shade of that colour? GarryP Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 It seems to be working fine for me with no “snapped back” problem with the triangle – see attached video. Can you record and share a video which shows the issue you are having? 2024-05-20 14-34-23.mp4 Quote
NotMyFault Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Check that the brush tool is active and a pixel layer is selected in layer stack. If you have a vector layer active, you can’t set the brush color.
