William Overington Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 This is experimental as a learning exercise. The vertical panels are each such that rotation angle plus shear angle equals zero. The height of the three inner panels adjusted "by eye" this time. I need to learn the calculation. Angles of 30 degrees, 15 degrees, and 0 degrees. Affinity Rat Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 If I understand your question, if you transform a rectangle with sum of shear and rotation = 0, then the length of the side doesnt change remains the same. Area of parallelogram dervived from shear and rotation of a rectangle are equal. William Overington and Alfred 1 1 Quote
GarryP Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 You can make it easier on yourself by using construction layers for this sort of thing. See attached video. You might need to experiment with different snapping settings to find the one that allows this to happen. If you want more than three ‘panels’ to go round the corner you can use more Divisions in the grid. 2024-05-19 13-45-37.mp4 Alfred and William Overington 1 1 Quote
