Why does export to PNG dialog always sets the wrong transfer function and primaries?

Recommended Posts

It's granted that most of the world still works with Rec.709 or BT.709 if you prefer. And HDR is fine, but when I'm working with textures that I want to export to Blender, I want BT.709 every time. Or, I want whatever I set it to last time. So if I've been working with BT.709 and I close Affinity Photo, then later or the next day I open it again and export other textures, I expect to be at BT.709.

However, every single time I close APhoto, then open it later or the next day and I want to export textures, it's set to PQ and BT.2020, so I have to remember to change it back to BT.709. Is there a way to set that in a more permanent way?

You could make a Preset and save your settings in it.

Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Good idea, and will it load by default?

Why not try it & see for yourself if does?
