Image jumping multiple pages when trying to move one page

I’m trying to move an image from one page to the next but when i do so the image jumps multiple pages at once.

I've not been able to replicate this. Does it stop happening if you disable snapping? 

Could you attach a copy of your afpub file?

This was with object panning inertia turned off which made it worse. With it on it’s less of a pain but still not very easy.

This problem is very common. You can create a file yourself and this problem will occur.
