HI,

I'm having problems uploading pictures from my files when affinity is open.

This what happens

Open Affinity

click File

click open.  It won't take me to Finder and select files.

It shuts down and a box appears saying:  Affinity Photo quit unexpectedly either , reopen, report or ignore.

I then went to File; open recent pictures and this loads into Affinity ok.

Please could anyone help me resolve this issue.

Sarah

Hi Sarah,

Please could you try holding down the CTRL key while opening the program a reset menu should appear. If you click Select All and then Clear the program will reset to defaults which should hopefully resolve your issue :)

Hi Sarah,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Please do the following:

  • repeat the process again until you get the box asking you to reopen, report or ignore.
  • select Report.  A new report window will open (sometimes it may take a few seconds)
  • press and hold ⌥ (option/alt) and click and drag the small document icon with an exclamation point in the Title bar to the desktop (you should see a green plus icon appear when you hover the desktop area)  then release the mouse. You just created a copy of the crash report on your desktop.
  • upload/send that file to me using this link so we can check what happened. You can then delete the file from your desktop
