Hi,

I've just downloaded and installed the latest beta

image.png.82e39acb5cf06ee3e880311325491275.png

and while the presence of artefacts has reduced significantly it is not completely resolved/removed (see below)

Below are details of the system and the graphics adapter

image.png.30ac02bf7f5d2fddcb67d95b6bb42222.png

Processor    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz   2.60 GHz
Installed RAM    16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)
Device ID    9E946E9E-F147-4B54-88AE-CA1907EB9491
Product ID    00325-96026-34908-AAOEM
System type    64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch    No pen or touch input is available for this display

I do recognise this system is 'old' but, it did work, albeit slowly, in the older release.

Also, once again changing the "RAW output format" to 32 bit resolves the issue.

Please let me know if you'd like me to do anything else or provide further information.

Ken

The green lines or artifacts that filled the RAW images in the earlier release are now red in Beta 2.4.2.2356! The lines do not fill the screen in the Beta, but are present and are red instead of green. I did not turn off Hardware Acceleration for my test photo. The red lines are present in the exported jpg, which is attached. Deselecting Hardware Acceleration, restarting, and opening the RAW removes the red lines or artifacts. The situation is better, but not fixed. Thank you!

A red tint is scattered throughout the photo and a little bit of green. There is no red on the dam. I am attaching two snips where I zoomed in on the photo in my first post.

On the unedited RAW, you will not see any. When processing a RAW in Affinity with Hardware Acceleration on, the lines, green or red, are an issue. At least in my case, it is an issue. I can turn off Hardware Acceleration and the problem goes away, so it's not unworkable. I'm simply trying to help the folks at Affinity with their software.

We will have another go at fixing this in the next round of betas, hopefully with you next week or the week after. Thanks for your input on this

Sorry it's not solved for you. We will be starting a 2.5.0 beta soon and I am sure that this can be resolved

With the .2371 Beta update, the artifacts/lines still exist with Hardware Acceleration turned on. With Hardware Acceleration deselected, the red and green artifacts are gone.

Please could you try the new 2.5.0 beta with Hardware Acceleration ON (join our beta program) and see if the problem has been addressed for you?

Can you report your findings in this linked beta thread below made to share the results
