Footnotes - sequential problem

Recommended Posts

Hello

I'd welcome help in solving a problem with my footnotes. I'm unable to get them to be sequential past the 4th footnote. When I insert the 5th Footnote one on the next page it repeats as 4th footnote and changes the previous footnote to 5. I'm guessing I messed it up somehow as this is my first go at doing footnotes. I've read earlier posts and my footnotes are sequential up to this one. Any ideas as to how to clean this up are welcome.

Many thanks

@Paul100,

In my experience the easiest way I can mess up footnotes is to accidentally click on the Custom instead of leaving it set to the default Document Wide. The other thing I will mess up is the choice of Number starting. Try these settings. Place your text caret in the notes to see if it is Document Wide or Custom.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
