anto
Cannot export text with stroke in PDF Font Sofia Sans. But I don't think the font is the problem. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. 2024-03-18 06-51-12.mp4
Hangman
Hi @anto, This looks like a bug but as a workaround, if you change the stroke from 'Outside' to 'Centred' and change the stroke weight from 6.4 pt to 12.8 pt everything should export to pdf correctly... anto 1 Quote Affinity Designer 2.4.2 | Affinity Photo 2.4.2 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.2 Affinity Designer Beta 2.5.0 (2415) | Affinity Photo Beta 2.5.0 (2415) | Affinity Publisher Beta 2.5.0 (2415) Affinity Designer 1.7.3 | Affinity Photo 1.7.3 | Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 MacBook Pro 16GB, macOS Monterey 12.7.4, Magic Mouse
Staff Dan C Posted March 18 Staff Share Posted March 18 Thanks for your report @anto! 9 hours ago, anto said: Font Sofia Sans. But I don't think the font is the problem I'm only able to replicate this issue using the Sofia Sans font, with the Black variant - using other fonts, or other variants of Sofia Sans seems to work as expected for me. Equally, as you've shown in your recording this seems to require certain glyphs to trigger the issue (seemingly 'X', as "TEST" exports correctly but "TEXT" does not), and testing at different font sizes and stroke widths seems to show this does not always occur: I'm getting this logged with our development team now Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Hangman
Hi @Dan C, I think the issue here is actually different and not a result of the Allow Advanced Features option... If you set up a CMYK and an RGB version of the same document and test, the issue only appears to happen with the RGB version irrespective of the font or stroke alignment and irrespective of whether Allow Advanced Features is enabled or not. I agree, my apologies as I initially thought this was part of the trigger for this issue, but further testing when logging the issue with our developers indicated this was not necessarily required to cause this - therefore I edited my above post to remove this section. Though I could have made that clearer within the post itself, thanks for helping to confirm these findings Hangman 1 Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.
