walt.farrell
From the Publisher 2 Help at https://affinity.help/publisher2/en-US.lproj/index.html Search for scroll In the results list, the Pages panel entry leads back to the main Affinity Help page. And Using a trackpad leads to a blank page. Other entries seem to work OK. I've tried this in Firefox and Chrome with the same behavior, and have cleared the browser cache and cookies to no effect. The search result for Pages panel is coded to /pages/Panel.html while when it should be /index.html?page=pages/Panels/pagesPanel.html&title=Pages%20panel But the search result for Using a Trackpad works for me in both US and UK English. They're both linked to index.html?page=pages/Extras/trackpads.html&title=Using%20a%20trackpad. What URL are you seeing in the search results if you right click it and copy the URL? I checked search results for a dozen other panels and they were all fine. Perhaps the page has only Mac content and so displays as blank on Windows. Though I'm that case it would be better to omit it from the search results. Or to at least make a statement about that if displayed on Windows Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.5, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.
Staff Pauls Posted March 13 Staff Share Posted March 13 Hi Walt it does look like the content is only available of Mac - I'll log that walt.farrell
MikeTO
@Pauls And the search results for these pages will also appear as blank on macOS because they're Windows specific (you can use Alt+left/right arrow to move between the blank Mac and actual Windows page) https://affinity.help/publisher2/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Extras/surfaceDial.html https://affinity.help/publisher2/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Extras/surfacePen.html I validated the URLs in the search index and the Pages panel is the only one that has an incorrect URL. It is correct in v1 help so it just got messed up at some point. MikeTO
@Pauls There are also some obsolete pages in the in-app help that should be deleted from the package. They're not in the web help. I don't know if they're in the Windows or iPad packages. About Cross-Refs: Delete: file:///Applications/Affinity%20Publisher%202.app/Contents/Resources/AffinityPublisher.help/Contents/Resources/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Advanced/crossreferences.html&title=Cross%20references Keep: file:///Applications/Affinity%20Publisher%202.app/Contents/Resources/AffinityPublisher.help/Contents/Resources/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Advanced/aboutCrossrefs.html&title=About%20cross-references Document Setup: Delete: file:///Applications/Affinity%20Publisher%202.app/Contents/Resources/AffinityPublisher.help/Contents/Resources/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/GetStarted/DocumentSetup.html&title=Document%20setup Keep: file:///Applications/Affinity%20Publisher%202.app/Contents/Resources/AffinityPublisher.help/Contents/Resources/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Pages/DocumentSetup.html&title=Document%20setup Spread Setup: (this help page was merged into the doc setup page) Delete: file:///Applications/Affinity%20Publisher%202.app/Contents/Resources/AffinityPublisher.help/Contents/Resources/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Pages/spreadSetup.html&title=Spread%20setup These pages are in the in-app help but not in the web help. I suspect they're also obsolete but they should be reviewed because their content doesn't appear exactly in the other Assets page.
