PT filter, unintended overwrite of formulas when switching between layers

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I work with documents containing multiple procedural texture filters, and I edit them "online" in Photo. This requires switching layers frequently.

Bug: Unfortunately occasionally this leads to overwrite of the formula of the newly selected layer by the formula from the formerly selected layer. No copy/paste is involved to be clear.

Expected:

  1. when switching between layers, the newly selected layer should not get overwritten
  2. If formula gets changed unintentionally, undo (cmd-Z) should restore the previous state.

Undo does not help in this situation, the formula is lost and cannot be restore from history.

One trigger might be if the editing focus is still in the formula while switching the layer.

My posts focus on technical aspects and leave out most of social grease like „maybe“, „in my opinion“, „I might be wrong“ etc. just add copy/paste all these softeners from this signature to make reading more comfortable for you. Otherwise I’m a fine person which respects you and everyone and wants to be respected.
