Pen path in Affinity Photo 2.4

Recommended Posts

If you make your path with the Pen Tool, and use the menu Select > Selection from Layer it should retain the path. (Alternatively, to delete it, you could use Select > Selection from Layer and Delete.) Note: make sure you assign some Fill to the path you create with the Pen Tool, or this will not work (at least in V2).

On the other hand, if you use the Selection button on the Pen Tool's Context Toolbar, I don't think you have that choice. Is that what you were doing?

Hello,   I just made a new pen path around one of the windows on the car file and tried the Select>Select from layer, nothing happened. The only way I can get the marching ants from a pen path is to use the pen tool selection.  To keep the pen path I made an extra copy in the layers panel.  I wish there was a pen path panel.

Thanks Gerard
