KevG Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 I've just updated to 2.4 on Designer. The email announcing the update showed a graphic demonstrating the new double click/tap feature with a Three Mountains logo. The text in the logo followed a path but also remained vertically aligned. I'd be grateful if anyone could point me to a tutorial that would help in that regard. Thank you. Kev G Quote
GarryP Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 In the logo for “The Three Mountains Club House” here https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/whats-new/ there are various things which look like text and various things will have been done to them. (The email I got didn’t have any videos in it so I don’t know if we are looking at the same thing.) Can you tell us which bit(s) of the logo you want to try to replicate? Quote

Apparently this text got converted to curves and reshaped with the Vector Warp Tool: https://affinity.help/designer2/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/ObjectControl/warp.html&title=Warping objects KevG 1 Quote • MacBookPro Retina 15" | macOS 10.14.6 | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 • iPad 10.Gen. | iOS 18.5. | Affinity V2.6

From previous reading I’d understood the text following a path wouldn’t remain vertical as it followed a contour. The Three Mountains text does and I want to be able to replicate that appearance in my work. Now I understand how it’s done! Quote
