This is partly an expansion of the second point in this post but it highlights additional issues when using 'First' and 'Last on page' with Running Headers...

Issues

  1. When a paragraph wraps over two pages the 'Last on page' Running Header correctly shows as the 'Last on page' on the first page but as the 'First on page' for the second page... subsequently when styling the first two full paragraphs on the second page neither are applied as the 'First' or 'Last on page' Running header.

  2. When styling the third full paragraph on the second page, seemingly randomly selected text from the third paragraph is used for both the 'First' and 'Last on page' Running Headers...

  3. Styling a fourth paragraph on the second page which wraps onto a third page then correctly identifies the 'Last on page' Running Header for the second page but again shows as the 'First on page' Running Header for the third page.

  4. Styling subsequent paragraphs on the third page fails to change the 'First on page' Running Header and fails to show any 'Last on Page' Running Header for the third page...

  5. Continued paragraph styling repeats variations of the same pattern though at one point selects text starting midway through a word to use as its 'First' and 'Last on page' Running Headers... There appears to be no pattern, i.e., it doesn't use the same number of words or characters between instances of randomly selected text for use in the Running Header...

Hi @Callum,

I've just uploaded the file for you...

To test simply apply the Initial Words Text Style to successive paragraphs, I set the keyboard shortcut Ctrl Q for ease of application. As you go through applying the style to each paragraph individually you should hopefully see the same issues described and shown in the screen recording but let me know if you see something different...
