Shin38
When opening a cr3 file taken with CANON EOR R6, the color appears purplish. The color is clearly wrong. jpeg files are fine. The version is the latest 1.10.
Staff DWright Posted January 29 Staff Share Posted January 29 Hi @Shin38, Welcome to the forum The Canon EOS R6 mk ii RAW file are not supported by the RAW engine in Affinity Photo V1 and to use these RAW images in V1 you will have to convert them into a Adobe DNG file. KSetia
I have Affinity Photo version 1.10.8 with Canon EOS R50 and I have the issue. When the issue will be fixed? Or just ignore Develop Persona for RAW file and just convert the CR3 file into Tiff file and open it directly using Affinity Photo? The issue does not appear on Canon EOS R7 for its CR3. Does it mean I need to install Camera RAW 15.2 and Adobe DNG Converter 16.2 to make the Develop Persona works properly (for CR3 on Canon EOS R50) or just simply get the tiff file opened using Affinity Photo (meaning Develop Persona still does not work for Canon EOS R50's CR3)? NotMyFault
V1 does not get any more updates. So you have the following options in case you don’t want to upgrade to V2: on Apple devices, use Apple RAW engine use the mentioned DNG converter (unsure if this works in all cases) Use Canon DPP for RAW conversion. This is my personal recommendation as DPP supports all feature of Canon RAW files, like picture profiles, compressed RAW etc, it will be the first App to support newer models.
