newkind
Hi! I wanted to report a bug found when using PSD files that have layers with compound shapes. Here's how the graphics should look like (opened in Photopea or Photoshop): Here's how it looks like in Affinity apps: Only layers with compound shapes have this issue. ------------------------------------------------------- Apps affected: Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer (haven't tried Publisher) App versions tested: Affinity Photo 2.3.1, Affinity Designer 2.3.1 Can you reproduce it: YES OS: MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 Recipe: I have attached the psd file to this post for devs to investigate ------------------------------------------------------- I know that PSD compatibility is not a simple thing and many things are properitary, but if a free online editor can display these shapes properly, I think that Affinity can do it too Thank you for your work! eu-960.psd
Hangman
Hi @newkind, This in part, appears to be a screen redraw issue... I think the reason it displays correctly in Photopea is because Photopea isn't opening it as a Compound Path... The 'temporary' workaround (unless the compound paths are essential) is to select the relevant paths and apply the 'Add' boolean so the curves are no longer compound... newkind
Hi! Thanks for the reply. You are right, using 'Add' boolean is indeed working as a workaround and its enough for me in this particular case I'm not sure if its a screen redraw issue entirely because the exported PNG from this file is also broken. If it would be a screen redraw the exported file should look proper right?

Hi @newkind, I agree, that was really my reference to 'In part...' because, as you highlight, the file also fails to export correctly but glad the workaround is sufficient for now...
