Publisher v2 crashing

Hello,
I've been working on (small) file for days /hours without any issues, suddenly Publisher crashed on opening of the file after a few seconds, sometimes after minutes, sometimes the file stays open and is workable.
(Restarting mac does not help.)

Older files of different work, no problem.

Latest version of Publisher and macOS / Mac mini m2

Thanks for your files provided & sorry to hear you're experiencing crashing within Affinity.

Inspecting your crash report, this appears to be occurring due to 'Symbol' objects, which usually indicates an issue with the Master Page(s) applied in your file.

However, investigating with the files you've provided above, I can't see any specific issue with your Master Pages, or the pages these Masters are applied to - so I'm not 100% certain of the exact cause of this at this time.

Through my testing, I am yet to experience this crash, though it may be due to your Publisher file being from V2, and the Designer file being from V1.

I've resaved your .afdesign file in V2 and then replaced the linked file in your Publisher document, resaving this also.

Can you please try testing with these newly resaved files on your mac (you may need to relink the .afdesign file after opening the .afpub on your machine) and let me know if the crashing continues for you?

Thank for the swift reply.
I check this as soon as I'm back behind my mac.
Actually, the problems started when I changed some items in the masterpage(s). I'm not 100% sure, but I think when I replaced the PA logo from a .png with the .afdesign.

Unfortunately Publisher crashed again. I used my file, replaced the logo V2 version and it was ok. But later when I reopened the file it crashed 3 times and the 4th time it was fine.

(I was able to finish the job and I was just testing a bit.)

I'm sorry you've experienced further crashing with this file, the crash reports provided seem to indicate similar 'Symbol' related crashing, though I'm yet to replicate this in my testing.

Just to confirm, were these crashes happening when simply loading the .afpub file - or did the document load and then subsequently crash when editing?

What location are you using to store your .afpub/.afdesign files? (ie are these saved on your local hard drive, a Cloud location or an external drive such as a USB device?)
